Artists, students & local residents rely on thoughtful 3rd spaces to provide:

Our goal is to provide a Mutual Aid Network of Thoughtful Third Spaces protected by an Emergency Response Team providing free legal assistance, fundraising infrastructure and experienced technical advisors to navigate the difficult modern local government and business environments ensuring that important arts and culture hubs survive and continue to serve the public.

Mission Statement

The mission of Thoughtful 3rd Spaces is to advance art and culture by helping preserve and steward our vital spaces that nurture creative expression, artistic development, and community inclusion. We are committed to protecting and supporting these cultural havens throughout Central Florida, ensuring they remain accessible gathering places where diverse voices can be heard, artistic innovation can flourish, and meaningful connections can be formed for generations to come. We hope to offer support in the form of free legal assistance, providing fundraising infrastructure and experienced technical advisors to navigate the difficult modern business environment.

Why Save our Thoughtful Third Spaces?

Because it matters to people.

“My friends and I have been coming here for decades and would be devasted if we lost this place. It’s historical at this point and should be protected.”

“This place is a cultural hub of the community. It’s what made me fall in love with this city.”

“This was the place that discouraged me from alcoholism. I went here and a bar after a heartbreak, and soon I found no need for the bar when I found some of my closest friends here”

“Austin’s Jazz night has been the center of my networking and growth as a musician for years. I would hate to see such a pillar disappear.”
